PASADENA, CA – January 6, 2010 – eCivis, the premier online provider of federal, state, and foundation grant information and management tools for government and not-for-profit organizations, announced today the release of updates to their Grants Network platform. The latest updates allow for eCivis users to be in compliance with all reporting requirements mandated under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA 2009). The biggest challenges that governments and organizations face today with ARRA 2009 are the strict reporting requirements associated with each grant opportunity. eCivis’ updates provide a comprehensive software tool-set allowing for ARRA grant fund identification, related project management, and single-click reporting with all information ready for submission in the federally-mandated format.
"We did not want to pay a programmer to re-invent the wheel, so when we decided to centralize our grant processes thru Grants Network our jobs became easier. Research that used to take half a day now only takes 10 minutes. This is great since our employees are having to take on several jobs after layoffs and reduced work weeks. In fact, audit preparation that took months now takes only weeks, and we found a grant that we would have not known about without eCivis. And now with ARRA, all of the reporting and organizational needs are right there. We estimate that our grants management costs have been reduced 20% to 25%. And when we win a new grant, that is all gravy,” raved a satisfied eCivis client.
New ARRA 2009 additions to Grants Network include:
- Organization Funding: Users now have the ability to tag organization funding as related to Special Legislation, allowing the user to capture and report on all ARRA-related data throughout the grant lifecycle.
- Special Legislation in Project Dashboard: A Special Legislation link has been added to the Project Dashboard making it easy to access and update all the ARRA 2009 information.
- Special Legislation Report: A Special Legislation link has now been added to the Reports menu, which will generate a standard FederalReporting.gov Excel Export for any ARRA 2009 grant.
Aside from ARRA 2009, eCivis is also announcing the addition of several new items within Grants Network and KnowledgeBase. These new elements include updated User Guides, and new Automated Training Courses and Assessment Exams.
